4 Ups & 8 Downs From WWE Raw (May 30)
Ups…
4. Do No Harm… Barely
WWE’s effort to build interest in the fourth clash between Bobby Lashley and Omos was met with mixed results Monday night, but at least they didn’t cause any fatal harm to the feud.
Lashley, Omos and MVP had a contract signing for their handicap match at Hell in a Cell on Raw, with MVP lamenting that it shouldn’t have come to this. He again took credit for the All Mighty Era, to which Lashley called MVP a leech.
This triggered a showdown between Omos and Lashley, where security got tossed, Cedric Alexander got involved, a table was set up, and Omos was driven through it to close the show.
The entire segment served to show that Lashley could overcome the odds and triumph (though he probably won’t on Sunday), so mission accomplished. And overall, this worked. But it meant that once again, Omos looked foolish, which is not what you want to be doing at this stage in his career.
