4 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (July 22)

1. Owens Looking Weaker Every Week

Kevin Owens needs a win, stat. There's no doubt that he's going to bounce back from this current slump of losing 3 huge matches in a row - he's too obviously talented not to be important to the company - but for the sake of TakeOver Brooklyn, Owens needs to be given a huge win and he needs it now. For the first time in his NXT career, Kevin Owens' words are ringing hollow in our ears. Considering the last month of his career, Owens is looking eminently beatable, which is severely compromising his quietly psychotic person and his feud with Balor. This was made even worse by Owens being embarrassed by The Demon last night during their contract signing. He called Finn Balor an underdog and then proved that immediately wrong by failing to ambush the champ. Owens was humiliated and sent packing once again. Don't be mistake, I'm not of the opinion that Owens is being 'buried' or that his recent losses have 'ruined' him. However, the fact is that NXT have to build a hot feud if they want to pack out the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn and they're not going to do that without Owens showing signs of his former dominance. He should have destroyed Balor tonight. He needed that. Finn would still have had the belt, he didn't need to show dominance. A missed opportunity to start the feud off with a bang.
