4 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE Smackdown (Apr 30)

1. Rollins And Ambrose Deliver A Very Good Main Event

This is the selling point for Smackdown. The in-ring action. While Raw is a three hour show, there are some weeks where you forget that they actually have matches because of all the promos, video packages and recaps of things from earlier in the night. With Smackdown, the focus is on the in-ring action much more. Seth Rollins has wrestled on nearly every show since he's won the WWE Title and this week was no exception as he battled former friend Dean Ambrose in the main event. Is this the first time these two had a match with a decisive ending? It might be. It's not like there was a clean ending totally because Kane got involved as well as J&J Security, but it was done in a way where Rollins capitalized on their distraction by tossing Ambrose into the steps. Then Rollins hit his new finisher for the win. People that like Dean Ambrose (and there are a lot of them) may be upset with how it turned out, but Rollins was pinned on Raw as well as last week's Smackdown, so Rollins winning is a good thing. After the match was over, Roman Reigns made the save for Ambrose. Last week on Smackdown they did Reigns and Ambrose over Rollins and Harper, but they might end up doing Reigns and Ambrose against Rollins and Kane next week on Raw or Smackdown too.
