4 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night’s WWE SmackDown (Aug 13)

Downs...

4. The Boring Opening Promo Setting Up A Main Event

It feels repetitive to write about this again, but another episode of Smackdown began with a Seth Rollins promo that led to interruptions leading to a tag team match later in the night. Are fans supposed to think that WWE goes into this these shows with no main event booked, but everything will sort itself out because of a promo being interrupted? It's really become laughable at this point. There's nothing wrong with Rollins as a talker. It's just that the same thing happens so many times on both Raw and Smackdown that it makes me want to yell at the screen wondering why they keep doing this. Rollins started his promo bragging (just like on Raw), then Neville interrupted, then Cesaro interrupted and Kevin Owens attacked Cesaro to set up the predictable tag match later on in the show. Shouldn't a "creative team" actually be creative a bit? Please.
