4 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night’s WWE SmackDown (Aug 13)

3. Ryback Continues To Improve As A Promo Guy

There was a time a few years ago when the thought of a Ryback promo made people cringe, but now it's not like that. He's improved a lot as a talker, so much so that they gave him a few minutes on Smackdown to talk about how important it was to be Intercontinental Champion while also showing a photo of his staph infection from last month. He said he "Meathhooked" and "Shellshocked" the staph infection, which is a unique of saying he overcame the ailment. The reason I liked the promo is because it felt genuine and real. He thanked the fans for their support while also saying he's going to beat Miz and Big Show for the Intercontinental Title at SummerSlam. He worked his butt off to get back into shape and he's not going to let the people do. Believability is so big in wrestling and in the last few months, Ryback has become one of the most believable guys in WWE. I didn't know if he had it in him. It turns out he does and he deserves a lot of credit for all of the improvements he has made. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bqr6wy81Q9U I was a bit disappointed that his interaction with Bo Dallas wasn't shown on Smackdown. They put it on WWE's Youtube channel, but I guess there wasn't time to fit into the show.
