4 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (June 18)

1. Money In The Bank Winner Sheamus Was Treated Like A Big Star

When Sheamus won Money in the Bank on Sunday the complaint that a lot of fans had was that he wasn't really booked like a big star prior to the match. Finally, on this week's Smackdown he was. Sheamus started the show off with the opening promo. Normally those promos are repetitive and boring, but least he is somebody new in that spot. It was a basic promo where he was just out there bragging about being Mr. Money in the Bank. He also seems to love stealing lines from the popular film Gladiator from 15 years ago. When the main event tag match was announced, it seemed like Sheamus might be the one that gets pinned. Instead, he capitalized on the distraction by Wyatt to nail Reigns with a Brogue Kick and got the pin. Even though it was cheap, it was still something that makes Sheamus look like a bigger star. If Sheamus is going to be a WWE Champion again like many people expect, he needs to be booked like a bigger star. This week's Smackdown was a step in the right direction for him.
