4 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (May 21)

1. Dean Ambrose Got A Big Win Over Bray Wyatt

On Monday's Raw, Dean Ambrose faced Bray Wyatt. Wyatt got the win in the match thanks to a distraction. Since WWE loves to replay matches, they did it again on Smackdown What's been the common theme every time these two have wrestled since last fall? Wyatt won nearly every match they had. Whether it was regular matches or gimmick matches, it seemed like Wyatt found a way to win. That's because WWE wanted to get him ready for that feud with The Undertaker, so Ambrose had to put him over a lot. They were put in the main event slot on Smackdown and it was given 13 minutes counting the commercial break. Like all their matches, it was very physical and enjoyable to watch. Since Ambrose is feuding with Seth Rollins, we saw J&J Security try to interfere and then Rollins showed up. However, Roman Reigns showed up to support Ambrose and watch his back. The presence of all those outside factors led to a hectic and exciting finish that saw Reigns hit a Superman Punch on Wyatt while the referee was busy trying to get Jamie Noble in the ring. That assist from Reigns led to Ambrose hitting the Dirty Deeds for the win, which was needed for Ambrose. He's facing Rollins for the WWE Title at Elimination Chamber, so it was smart to give Ambrose a win. It wouldn't be a surprise if this match led to a tag on Raw with Reigns and Ambrose teaming against Rollins and Wyatt. Perhaps it will start a feud with Reigns going against Wyatt since it was Reigns that cost Wyatt this win. There are a lot of ways this could go. That was a well booked ending for a very good match. It was still an average Smackdown, but at least it ended on a positive note.
