4 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (May 27)

1. NXT Is The Kevin Owens Show

NXT needs Kevin Owens, now more than ever. With big names taking a powder due to injury, he has been given even more opportunities to make a name for himself, and he is delivering every single time. He opened and closed last night's show in style, even managing to steal the spotlight from Samoa Joe. His opening promo was a masterclass in efficiency. He successfully addressed three separate feuds (Cena, Zayn and Joe) and managed to do it all in less than 5 minutes. He was charming without losing his cruelty, and funny without ever seeming insincere. He's one of the most well-rounded villains in NXT history and the fans' anticipation for his inevitable clash with Samoa Joe has already started to boil. Kevin Owens is carrying the majority of NXT on his back right now, and he's proving himself a more than reliable hand.
