4 Ups And 6 Downs From WWE Raw (June 20)

4. Beating Riddle Down

Riddle Seth Rollins

It was bad enough that Riddle came up short in his championship match on SmackDown Friday night.

But then the Original Bro lost his Money in the Bank qualifying match to Omos in what could be described as a competitive squash, and then he was further beaten down by Seth Rollins, who picked the bones. And when Riddle tried to blindside Rollins after another obnoxious freakin’ promo, the Bro got put down with a stomp.

Just a really crappy night for Riddle that knocked him down a couple pegs. If we had faith in WWE to tell a good and consistent story, maybe this wouldn’t be a “down,” but it’s WWE, and you can’t help but think that this is just a means of pushing Riddle back down the card after his brush with greatness.

Scott is a former journalist and longtime wrestling fan who was smart enough to abandon WCW during the Monday Night Wars the same time as the Radicalz. He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
