4 Ups And 8 Downs From WWE Backlash 2018

Downs...

8. Soooo Sloppy

There’s plenty of blame to go around, but the kickoff show match between Bayley and Ruby Riott was a messy disaster.

This wasn’t a case of two wrestlers unable to get the same page, this was a sloppy, disjointed match that was painful to watch at times. Bayley and Ruby messed up an Irish whip reversal, an alley-oop off a blind charge, and a couple other moves throughout the 10-minute match. Ruby got the win after some Riott Squad interference, but that really was secondary.

Let’s hope this was just an off-night for the two women, because if they go out on television and put on a “performance” like that again, they might need a remedial class.
