4 Ups And 9 Downs From WWE Super Showdown 2020

7. R-Truth’s Banana Peel Adventure

R-Truth is one of WWE’s longest tenured superstars and a great guy by all accounts. It’s nice to see WWE wanting to keep him in a prominent role on the program.

However, watching Truth rack up three eliminations in the Tuwaiq Trophy gauntlet match the way he did really didn’t do anyone any favors.

Truth pinned Bobby Lashley and Andrade in the most comically bad ways imaginable, with Lashley essentially tripping over Truth and getting pinned, and Andrade knocking heads with Truth and R landing on top of him for the “accidental” pin.

Look, we all know that these Saudi Arabia shows are really just glorified house shows, so what happens shouldn’t matter as much as what happens on PPV, Raw or SmackDown, but holy hell this was bad.

Truth’s journey made other wrestlers look like jokes as he stumbled and bumbled his way into victories, and it made Truth look more like Inspector Clouseau than a competent wrestler.
