2. Bad News Barrett Continues To Look Like A Fool

It almost seems like a weekly point to make in the "downs" section about Smackdown because WWE continuously makes the IC Champion look terrible. He lost a non-title match again this week although at least it was to a big name in Daniel Bryan. The match was pretty good, but as soon as it was announced as non-title it was so obvious that Bryan was going to win. That meant the fans didn't care when Barrett was on offense. This is the kind of booking that usually happens for a babyface as a way to give them sympathy. All of these losses piling up would make the fans feel sorry for a guy, but in his case all it does is make him look like one of the worst IC Champions ever. Barrett's been booked so poorly as IC Champion that it's hard to remember his quality wins while holding the gold. It's going to be tough to get him out of this hole.
