4. Kidd And Cesaro As Next Tag Team Title Contenders
There were only four matches on the show with the main event going over 20 minutes, so most of the other matches were kept short. However, there was a positive aspect from the booking. When Tyson Kidd took on Jey Uso in singles action, it was done to set up a tag team feud between them. The Usos are the tag team champs while Kidd and his partner Cesaro won the opening match on the Royal Rumble Kickoff show, so they are next in line. This match was short, but the result was good with Kidd getting the win. After Jimmy got involved with Cesaro outside the ring, Kidd hit a dropkick to the knee and finished off Jey with a suplex into a neckbrearker for the win. That's typical WWE booking to set up a tag team feud. We've seen it for many years. That win by Kidd will hopefully lead to the Kidd/Cesaro team getting a tag title shot at Fast Lane. They are clearly the best heel team there is and they will most likely have great matches with The Usos because all four guys are great in the ring. Another heel tag team, The Ascension, also won a tag match over Goldust and Stardust, who no longer have any momentum. The tag team division has some potential right now, but they will need to get a few more teams going strong before it can really take off.
