Having debuted Cena against one of their best wrestlers, then having had their biggest legend verbally put him over, WWE continued their mega push of Cena at Vengeance 2002. He defeated Chris Jericho (who had been WWE Champion just a few months earlier) in just six minutes. It was a shock. This ultra-green kid, who looked like an over-energised teenager, had just toppled what was one of WWE's biggest stars in that period.
