5 AEW Fyter Fest 2020 (Night One) Predictions You Need To Know

Night One (1 July)

5. Private Party (w/ Matt Hardy) vs. Santana and Ortiz

Santana Ortiz vs. Private Party
AEW

Private Party's beef with Santana and Ortiz is a direct product of Dynamite's 10 June episode. Cody retained his TNT Championship against Marq Quen in the night's main event, prompting Jake Hager to jump 'The American Nightmare' and create his own challenge. Sammy Guevara, Ortiz, and Santana ran out to support their Inner Circle stablemate before Isiah Kassidy and Matt Hardy helped Cody and Quen run the bad guys off, and here we are.

There isn't much meat on that storyline's bones which is while it'll probably open the show. Hardy's alliance with Private Party is more important, anyway, as AEW moves towards using the tag wrestling legend as a mentor to two young, exciting fliers who are as athletic as they come, but lack seasoning in other departments. It's hard to think of a better choice than Matt to help develop them.

The Hardy storyline suggests victory for Quen and Kassidy, though it isn't guaranteed. AEW may choose to have Private Party take the loss and use it as an example of the task ahead of Matt and his new charges. Nonetheless, expect excitement from two of the most eye-catching tandems in AEW's ridiculous, stacked division.

Winners: Private Party
