5 AEW Wrestlers Who Could Jump Ship To WWE

2. Lance Archer

Lance Archer, like others on this list, has reached his highest high in AEW.

Winning 2020's Casino Battle Royale, having an alright World Title match with Jon Moxley, murdering the likes of Joey Janela and Marko Stunt, and reuniting with old pal Minoru Suzuki have all made for engaging Lance Archer content, but what else will he achieve?

He lifted New Japan's United States Heavyweight Title from Moxley on a July 2021 Dynamite episode, too, but he was merely a transitional champion to get the strap from the 'Purveyor of Violence' to Hiroshi Tanahashi. This was hardly a key moment of Archer's AEW stint, regardless of the quality of the Texas Deathmatch vs. Mox.

In WWE, he didn't achieve much, either. The ill-fated Vance Archer was gone as quick as he arrived, while both the Lance Hoyt and Lance Rock guises in the then-TNA didn't gain much traction.

A return to WWE would work in today's age, though. He's vastly improved in his post-WWE career, going from a perennial WWE Superstars wrestler to having marquee showdowns on Wrestle Kingdom. Perhaps reuniting with his old Killer Elite Squad comrade Davey Boy Smith Jr. could coax him back into the WWE lifestyle. The company is missing that sort of dominating tandem to attract eyes.
