5 Best Wrestling Tag-Teams That Never Were

3. Death & Taxes

This may sound like an idea whipped up by somebody playing WWE 2K19's Universe Mode, but it's true.

In 1995, the WWF bounced around the thought of putting The Undertaker and IRS together as the wonderfully-named 'Death & Taxes'. This gimmick would've married 'Taker's supernatural vibes with the Wall Street dweller's money-grabbing ways. It was doomed to fail before it ever got going, and yet it sounds rather fun in theory.

Bruce Prichard was the one to break this news on his 'Something To Wrestle With' podcast. He revealed that the promotion's braintrust came eerily close to putting both together. When they sat down to properly think about it though, everyone realised that IRS would suck as a babyface, and they weren't quite ready to make The Undertaker heel again.

When the idea was brought to Vince McMahon's table, the boss discarded it almost immediately anyway. He refused to entertain the thought that 'Taker would return to the dark side (so to speak), and thought his undead wonder had serious potential as a main event babyface for years to come.
