5 Big Things William Regal Could Announce For NXT
1. NXT Women's Tag Team Titles
The inaugural Dusty Rhodes Women's Tag Team Classic was marred with controversy. First, Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez took the trophy after both of them covered Shotzi Blackheart at the same time. Then their opportunity against the Women's Tag Team Champions (a title shared across all WWE) was lost when Adam Pearce brought out his own referee to call an unconscious Dakota Kai when she wasn't the legal woman.
Obviously this had to be an angle, but it seemed a strange one just to keep Baszler and Jax as the champions. However, William Regal is nothing if not reactive to the shenanigans of his roster. When the Undisputed Era, Authors Of Pain and Sanity were out of control, he brought back War Games to turn their chaos into something entertaining for the fans.
It would surprise exactly nobody who has ever watched NXT to see a new Women's Tag Team Championship exclusive to that brand get introduced on this week's show. Much like the introduction of a mid-tier championship, this would give the deep and deeply talented women's roster something else to fight for, and is this writer's personal bet on what will be announced.
