5 Biggest Missed Opportunities From WWE Elimination Chamber 2020

4. The Absence Of Major Competitors

It didn't take long for the effects of both WWE's reliance on part-timers and these super-sized house shows to show in the company's main programming, and it was more obvious than ever at Elimination Chamber.

The decision to put the Universal Championship on Goldberg not only left Elimination Chamber without both major champions, it resulted in his 'Mania opponent Roman Reigns - and the equally missing Brock Lesnar's opponent Drew McIntyre - being completely absent from the show.

That, however, is only the icing on the cake as the likes of former Universal Champion 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt, his 'Mania opponent John Cena, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, Byaley and countless other superstars either weren't on the card or were just nowhere to be seen.

The decision to stick Super ShowDown in the middle of the road to WrestleMania was baffling enough as it was, but in spite of WWE's empty promises that it would heighten tension with its apparent WrestleMania-like value, it resulted in what should have been the company's only stop on the road to 'Mania coming off like a complete afterthought unworthy of most major stars' time.

Way to get everyone excited for the Showcase of the Immortals...
