Even at this late stage in his career, Chris Jericho is a gem of a performer. Sure, he's lost a few steps in the ring, and he's nowhere near as quick and nimble as he used to be, but he knows how to work around his limitations and can still put on a strong match against the right opposition. Zayn vs. Jericho won't feature on your Match of the Year list, but it was a solid outing from both men, and Jericho eventually won with the Codebreaker.

The outcome is arguable, but it keeps Jericho's threat level consistent as Raw's resident upper-midcard gatekeeper. There's a strong chance WWE will look to continue this rivalry, with Zayn presumably going over in the end, and while last night dealt immeasurable harm to Zayn, and bounce-back win will help recover anything he lost at Clash.

In 2016, Jericho's character work is second-to-none, and his mid-match trash talk is just as enjoyable as his best friend Kevin Owens'. Sauntering out to the ring like Raw's resident Hipster Dad, Jericho has become one of the red brand's most enjoyable performers, and he had a big night at Clash. After defeating Zayn, Y2J went on to have a decisive influence in helping Owens retain the Universal Championship an hour or so later. He hasn't been this important to WWE in years, so let's enjoy his Indian Summer while we can.
