5. Losers: Enzo Amore & Big Cass

It’s almost moot to praise Enzo Amore’s promo ability at this point, but Big Cass is quietly improving in his shadow. The duo are rarely anything less than entertaining, and last night saw them deliver a relatively long, drawn-out Toy Story metaphor for “Andy” and “Big Gal.” Lesser teams would’ve died with such material, but Enzo & Cass killed it again, and it set their match off to a hot start.

Sadly, that’s where Enzo & Cass’ good fortune ended. They were soundly defeated by Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows in one of the night’s shortest matches, and they’ve nobody to blame but themselves. Gallows & Anderson used good old-fashioned teamwork to put the Realest Guys in the Room away, and it’s a huge loss for Raw’s most popular team.

They’ve likely got enough momentum to take the loss on the chin, but Enzo & Cass just lost to a team who almost never win. Gallows & Anderson have looked like a couple of hapless geeks since arriving from Japan, and Enzo & Cass have gone from title contenders to midcard also-rans. Their future remains bright, but they need to start winning matches like this.
