5 Biggest Winners & Losers From WWE In 2024

7. Loser: Odyssey Jones

WWE WrestleMania XL Cody Rhodes
WWE

Was Odyssey Jones just doomed to fail in WWE, as if he were cursed, or did he make this bed himself and was forced to lay in it?

This guy had some charisma to him and moved impressively well for someone his size. On paper, he looked like a big star in the making with the potential to go far. And after being missing in action for over a year and a half for unknown reasons, WWE finally decided to use him as a new member of The New Day.

By all accounts, it seems the story would have played out where he would have become Big E's replacement, gotten a lot of heat during their heel turn, and been a big focal point. Instead, just a few weeks into this push, Jones was abruptly fired from WWE after allegations of domestic abuse came out against him.

To go from being injured in January 2022 and taking all the way until August 2024 to get back on track, just to throw it all away makes Jones one of the biggest busts from this year.
