5 Biggest Winners & Losers From WWE Raw (Oct 17)

2. Winner: Seth Rollins

The Architect had a big role in Raw's first hour. Rollins appeared during Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho’s opening in-ring segment to answer KO’s claim that he was going to retire Seth at HIAC. This, of course, prompted Rollins to drive a further wedge between Jericho and Owens’ relationship by bringing up the fact that KO had done nothing to save his “best friend” from last week’s Pedigree, before Jericho issued a challenge for a repeat of last week’s main event.

For the second week in a row, Rollins and Jericho wrestled Raw’s best match, and The Architect came out on top. The finish owed much to Owens’ distraction interference (after promising he’d stay in the back), but Rollins rubber-stamped his dominance over Jericho with a second consecutive victory, and he looks strong ahead of his Universal Title challenge at Hell in a Cell.

More importantly, however, is the damage done to Jericho and Owens’ relationship. Jericho came within a hair of dropping a “STUPID IDIOT!” on Owens last night, and Rollins’ goading influence played a big role in their escalating issues. For a while, Jericho and Owens were each other’s biggest strength, but now? They’re falling apart, and for Rollins (their biggest enemy), that’s a huge bonus.
