5 Biggest Winners & Losers From WWE Raw (Sept 26)

4. Loser: Mick Foley

Mick Foley finds himself as one of Raw’s biggest losers for the second week in a row after taking another browbeating from his Commissioner, Stephanie McMahon. Meeting with Steph to discuss her actions at the PPV, Foley was shot down almost immediately, and verbally destroyed for his poor handling of the Cesaro/Sheamus situation. Once again, Raw’s General Manager was left a quivering mess at Stephanie’s feet.

It didn’t end there, though. Foley ran into Seth Rollins, who’d been banned from competing due to a rib injury, and found his authority undermined even further when Rollins promised to defy the GM’s orders and “ruin” the Chris Jericho/Kevin Owens highlight reel, stating that “Foley’s lips are moving, but all I hear are Stephanie’s words.” Another assertive takedown of an increasingly ineffective authority figure.

Why would anyone respect Mick Foley at this point? Talent have no reason to take him seriously anymore, and his role has never been so undermined. From an in-character perspective, the best thing Mick Foley can do at this point is pick up whatever’s left of his pride and walk out the door, because he’s never going to be taken seriously with Stephanie on the scene.
