2. Loser: AJ Styles

The current WWE World Champion has had more than his fair share of bad weeks lately. Last week aside, the bumbling James Ellsworth has been a constant thorn in his side. He benefited from last week’s interference-induced disqualification, but Styles has already “lost” to Ellsworth twice, and Big Game James’ ringside appearance cost him dearly last night.

Ellsworth’s presence caused chaos during AJ’s main event with Dean Ambrose, and the champion just couldn’t help but get involved. He threw James over the announce table and tried to head back to the ring, but Ambrose saw him coming, kicked him low, and drilled him with the Dirty Deeds. Ambrose has now earned himself a title shot at December’s TLC PPV, and AJ’s struggles continue.

Styles must’ve thought he was free of Dean Ambrose forever when he walked into the building last night, but things are rarely so simple in WWE. Instead of being rid of Ambrose, AJ is right back in the thick of it with him. Their war will continue in John Cena’s absence, and despite Styles’ recent string of victories against the Lunatic Fringe, he won’t be looking forward to facing-off with him again.

Particularly if James Ellsworth sticks around.
