5 Biggest Winners & Losers From WWE SmackDown (Nov 1)

5. Winner: Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan would’ve been laughing all the way home last night. He and Shane McMahon have kept their roles relatively low-key since the Brand Split kicked in, and it works to SmackDown’s benefit. They’re not hogging valuable airtime from the superstars, and they rarely steal their thunder.

Last night was an exception, but not in a bad way. Bryan has owed The Miz some comeuppance ever since their explosive Talking Smack exchange a few months ago. They’ve had a few exchanges since then, but nothing like last night, and never anything so decisively in Bryan’s favour.

Bryan can’t get his own back on Miz inside the ring, but he absolutely can on the outside. Survivor Series, an IC Title shot: Bryan tore away everything that Miz holds dear in his career, and justifiably so.

Miz has been a constant nuisance since making his feelings felt on Talking Smack. He has continually goaded and taunted Bryan by using his moves in the ring and talking trash on the GM whenever given the opportunity. Now, he has been completely disarmed by his boss, and he has nobody to blame but himself.
