5 Brother Vs Brother Wrestling Matches That Ruled (And 5 That Sucked)
3. Kane Vs. The Undertaker - Buried Alive Match (Bragging Rights 2010)
Few were enthusiastic when WWE decided to, once again, bring back the feud between The Undertaker and Kane in 2010. The feud had worked in 1998 when it was fresh and new. It still worked in 2000 when The Undertaker returned with a new gimmick. Hell, it even worked in 2004 as a one-off match at WrestleMania XX. But by 2010 the feud was played-out, to say the least. There's only so much supernatural nonsense you can get away with on a wrestling programme and fans had seen enough of Kane and The Undertaker's otherworldly hijinks to last a lifetime. Besides, the wrestlers themselves had more miles on the clock and could not perform to the standard they had been able to at one time. The two had three matches on PPV in late 2010. The first, at Night of Champions, was passable. Passable, but boring. Their second at Hell In A Cell (in Hell In The Cell, of course) was pretty bad. A Kane versus Undertaker Hell In The Cell match would have been a dream match for many but the gas tank was running on empty in 2010. Another gimmick match suited to Kane and The Undertaker was the Buried Alive match. The two clashed in this antiquated gimmick match at Bragging Rights but the match was certainly nothing to brag about. In fact, it was dire. 'Taker was clearly working hurt and Kane was as slow and plodding as he had been for years. The Undertaker versus Kane Buried Alive match would have been the worst of the year, had it not been for the Michael Cole/Jerry Lawler WrestleMania debacle.
