5 Brother Vs Brother Wrestling Matches That Ruled (And 5 That Sucked)
2. Matt Hardy Vs. Jeff Hardy (WrestleMania XXV)
Like Edge and Christian, Matt and Jeff Hardy were usually good for decent match whether placed in singles or tag team competition. The WWE had tried to split the duo once in 2001 but it didn't work. Fans just didn't want to see them fight. Eight years later, they tried again and renewed the rivalry. The feud was kicked off with Matt costing Jeff the World Heavyweight Championship in his match with Edge at the Royal Rumble. Matt then took credit for Jeff's accidents in recent months, including a hit-and-run attack and pyrotechnics entrance gone wrong. Expectations were high going into their Extreme Rules match at WrestleMania XXV. Thankfully, the Hardy's delivered with an intense, weapons-filled match that had high drama and big stunts. Jeff performed some truly suicidal moves, including a splash through a table that was resting on top of another table with Matt sandwiched in the middle. Madness. The finish was a good one, too: Matt delivered a Twist of Fate with Jeff's head and neck placed in the middle of a steel chair. This after Jeff had missed a huge legdrop from the top of a ladder. Matt and Jeff would have further good matches at Backlash (I Quit) and on Smackdown (Stretcher) before moving on to other feuds.
