For the first time in a long time, WWE has felt exciting. It might not feel particularly fresh, as they still have a number of tropes they adhere to and too much air time to fill, but it at least feels exciting.

A big part of that is seeing the return of a number of stars that Vince McMahon released over the past few years, some of whom barely had a sniff at a proper run on the main roster. Seeing them return has been thrilling, and considering the fan reaction to most of them, it's been well received.

Most of them. Not all of them.

Was anyone really clamouring for the return of Dexter Lumis? Yes, he has freaky looking eyes and can be pretty intimidating, but when the bell rings, he is a hard slog to watch. Where exactly is he going to go? Without being a dominant in-ring force, which he isn't, the gimmick will fade pretty quickly, along with the surprising crowd reactions he is drawing.

Also, did anyone really miss Hit Row? Top Dolla, Ashanti Thee Adonis and B-Fab never felt more than hangers on to the real star, Swerve Strickland, who is showing WWE exactly what they have been missing over the past few weeks on AEW. Do we need this trio without their leader? We certainly don't need any more "raps" from them, that's for sure.
