5 HUGE NXT TakeOver: War Games 2018 Predictions You Need To Know

3. Tommaso Ciampa Vs. Velveteen Dream

War Games
WWE

On a card where eight men will fight in two rings surrounded by a cage, this NXT Championship clash is somehow still the biggest match the brand has to offer.

It's been a huge 12 months for Velveteen Dream since Aleister Black finally said his name following their shared star-maker at TakeOver: WarGames 2017. Though Black got gold the following year, Dream got over. Though not quite as skilled as some of his peers, Dream's excelled at maximising every minute he's been given.

The character appears engineered for main roster supremacy. The individual touches he places into each increasingly ingenious angle he's involved him make him the star of the programme, and the results matter little when fans speak at length about all they've loved from each one of his remarkable showcases.

It's why Ciampa retaining here can happen with such little worry. Dream's innate charisma will earn him enormous plaudits even in defeat, whilst one of the cruelest heels in the game can continue to rule over a brand he's also made his own in 2018.
