If you're not already on board with Lucha Underground, there's no time like the present. The promotion neatly avoids the pitfalls suffered by other WWE competitors by not simply trying to ape their competition, instead offering a wholly unique mix of lucha libre action and telenovela-styled presentation. In short, they're not trying to beat WWE at their own game; they're successfully offering a distinct product all of their own. This week's broadcast saw the excellent Trios tournament come to a close and, in the manner we've come to expect from Lucha Underground owner Dario Cueto, there was a twist in the tale. It's a wholly satisfying end to a set of very engaging narratives that have been told as the tournament has progressed. Fans of Lucha Underground will no doubt want to see this week's episode in its entirety, as Pentagon Jr. vs. Sexy Star is another much-hyped bout that lived up to high expectations. However, if you're still waiting to see what the show is all about, this match will ensure a great first impression and you'll almost certainly want to catch up with the rest of the bracket immediately afterwards.
