In addition to the Revival, the rumour mill is going apesh*t that several other WWE performers are leaving.

WWE is the Hotel California of sports entertainment conglomerates - chronically overplayed, and you can never leave - but these men and women can dream. Mike and Maria Kanellis reportedly tried to hand in their notices a few weeks back, but were met with a resounding "no". "No: we need you to appear on 205 Live once every six weeks."

Clearly, as their case in particular underlines, WWE does not want any performers to leave. Fearful of strengthening the competition, instead, as thoroughly expected, WWE has the financial resource and motive to warehouse each and every one of them, even those they don't want to promote. At all.

We enter black comedy territory now as, amid all of this, WWE per PWInsider apparently asked Dolph Ziggler - who remains a phenomenal athlete - to take a producer's role. Like, could they respect the man any less? He wrestled high-profile matches of varying quality with Seth Rollins throughout 2018, but the best of the bunch was outstanding. He can still go, and more importantly could go for All Elite Wrestling, but Vince has apparently decided to take him out back and shoot him. So, in effect, WWE wants every performer under the sun to sign for and stay with the company, even guys they have barely booked...

...except Dolph.
