2. Arn Anderson: Negligent

“Just the four drinks? You’ll be fine. Get yourself out there.”

So this is a wild, wild story; Arn Anderson was recently fired by WWE for reasons kept hush-hush. Rumblings of some sort of altercation with Vince McMahon circulated, but details were scarce, and this sort of thing happens all of the time, apparently. Vince McMahon blows more gaskets than NXT call-ups.

But, as first broken by WrestlingInc., Anderson allegedly allowed Alicia Fox to perform while under the influence, thus potentially endangering her opponent in what is an act of some negligence. Arn’s protests—“But Nia Jax is more dangerous when she hasn’t had a drop!”—fell on deaf ears, and Vince gave him the boot. Wrestlers performed drunk in ECW all the time, some old vets chortled, but ECW wasn’t a f*cking publicly-traded conglomerate.

There must be something more to this, especially since several talents have reportedly sided with Arn on the matter. Whether that is because they felt he deserved another chance, or Fox’s condition has been exaggerated, we aren’t to know.

What we do know is that you probably shouldn’t drop people’s heads dangerously close to a wooden board when you’re half-cut.
