5 Most Insane Things Happening In Wrestling Right Now (Nov 2)

1. WWE Actually Does Good Halloween Stuff

WWE, and how this doesn’t dim ‘Plz bring back Halloween Havoc’ enthusiasm is a mystery, tends to get really lame around October 31. Geek tag teams get pumpkins put on their heads, Dolph Ziggler bobs for apples, that sort of thing.

Ahead of this All Hallow’s Eve, both NXT and WWE brought the charm.

At a recent NXT house show, EC3 dressed up as Batman with Drake Maverick in tow as Robin. Well, he’s a puny sidekick full-time, so this made sense. Otis Dozovic, and this is brilliant, dressed up like Mandy Rose. Matt Riddle dressed up as Chicken Riddle, and let’s hope Vince McMahon doesn’t actually watch NXT—because he’d love that a bit too much. And, godd*mn, Kassius Ohno dressed up in a 15 foot tall dinosaur outfit. We all know what a savvy performer he is, but to bump safely in that thing took some doing.

Over on SmackDown, The New Day cosplayed as The Brood. It didn’t really get over with the live crowd, but it amused us old fools who still remember, and that’s far better than a Divas Costume Battle Royal.

So this week, WWE was both a hugely fun and despicable place to be. You truly can’t keep away for a minute lest you miss something, can you?

Apart from 140 minutes of RAW, obviously.
