5 Positives & 5 Negatives Ahead Of Brock Lesnar Vs. Goldberg

Okay, so as far as memorable soundbites go, Goldberg’s emphatic “you’re last” line on his big return to Raw was pretty awesome. But if I’m being picky, my one complaint here would be that it now makes him a liar if this Survivor Series outing doesn’t end up being a one-off deal.

What if Goldberg puts in the performance of a lifetime, the crowd eats it up, and he decides that maybe he’s got a few more matches left in the tank—or a WrestleMania run, perhaps?

As great as that would be, his claim that this would be a one-time deal risks leaving a bit of a salty taste in the mouth. It’ll feel like we’ve been duped into believing the company’s marketing spiel that this would be another “Once in a Lifetime” thing, only for them to later renege on their word.

Perhaps I’m being slightly pedantic here and should just be grateful that we’d be getting another Goldberg run. Either way, I feel like it might have been advisable for that that door to have been left ajar, if only to avoid forcing the babyface Goldberg to go back on his word should he tear the house down this Sunday.
