6. Negative — Almas Isn’t On The Card

At the time of writing, there’s no place on the TakeOver: Toronto card for Andrade 'Cien' Almas.

A few weeks back this might not have been much of an issue, as fans weren’t really connecting with his babyface shtick. But since Almas turned heel at the start of October, taking out his frustrations on his Dusty Classic partner Cedric Alexander, his character has been totally rejuvenated.

Admittedly he’s only made a couple of appearances under this fresh heel guise, including the moment in which he turned in the first place, but the glimpses we’ve seen so far suggest that he’ll be far better suited to this new role than the one he was originally portraying. And so it’s kind of a shame that he won’t be appearing at TakeOver in some capacity.

Obviously this is likely due the fact that there hasn’t really been enough time to assemble a decent feud, so I guess I’m being fairly picky here. Still, it might have been nice to have seen that blow-off match with Alexander take place on Saturday night rather than at this past week’s NXT show.
