5 Possible "Plan Bs" WWE Should Consider For Roman Reigns
5. Daniel Bryan Returns
Probably the easiest answer is substituting one of WWEs most popular superstars in place of another. In this case, the company has Daniel Bryan on the shelf with neck and arm problems since earlier this summer. He basically was the entire Road to WrestleMania XXX, as his storyline from Royal Rumble to Mania dominated Raw and captivated fans week after week. Bryan returning to challenge Brock Lesnar assuming he holds onto the WWE World Heavyweight Championship for the next six months would make for the ultimate David vs. Goliath matchup. Its not a difficult scenario to imagine: Bryan returns for the title he never lost, enters the Rumble and wins, setting up a dramatic WrestleMania main event. If Brock were to mow down every behemoth in his path between now and Mania, then that storyline would become even more powerful, with Bryan using his cunning to outmaneuver rather than overpower the Beast. Bryan could use his extensive repertoire of submission holds to counter Lesnars raw power. Daniel Bryan is at his best when hes the underdog that fans can get behind, and going against an unbeatable monster is probably one of the best scenarios you can imagine.
Scott is a former journalist and longtime wrestling fan who was smart enough to abandon WCW during the Monday Night Wars the same time as the Radicalz. He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
