5 Potential Destinations For Jay White
3. IMPACT Wrestling
IMPACT Wrestling typically attracts three key demographics to its roster:-
- Legends who refuse to retire.
- Relative unknowns from the independent circuit looking for their first big break.
- Rejected WWE goobers.
Not since the 2000s and the era of the Kurt Angles, the Stings, and the Mick Foleys have they attracted a major name of the ilk of Jay White. They probably won't if we're honest but for clarity, it was either IMPACT listed here or the NWA, and Jay White vs. Josh Alexander sounds far more appealing than Jay White vs. Tyrus.
Jay White has been in IMPACT previously for two brief spells, first to acquire the Bullet Club services of Chris Bey and the second to eject Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa. He last appeared on the go-home to Slammiversary, taped a month beforehand, where he and Bey were felled by the Briscoes. Before this, he impressed in bouts opposite Steve Maclin, Alex Shelley, and Eric Young. Each time he appeared, social media responded accordingly, reacting as any wrestling fan should under the circumstances. Its fanbase is supportive of IMPACT without developing tribalistic tendencies.
Unfortunately, White is too major a star to remain in IMPACT for any longer than a year, but another brief spell before he decides on his next full-time gig would be welcomed by the ardent IMPACT audience.
Probability: 20%.
