5 Potential Replacements For Daniel Bryan As WWE SmackDown GM
4. Shane McMahon

It's entirely possible that, instead of appointing a new general manager to work under him, Shane McMahon will take a leaf out of his sister's book and start calling the shots himself (only without the pretence of a Kurt Angle-figure to take the fall).
This would actually make a whole lot of sense given all the trouble he has been having with Daniel Bryan. Clearly, he can't rely on anyone 100%, especially with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn forever getting ideas above their station.
The problem with this is that it wouldn't seem new in any sense. We've been watching Shane on SmackDown since the return of the brand extension nearly two years ago, and the writers usually like to shake things up after such a long period of continuity.
From a storyline point of view, it also feels like there needs to be some sort of closure on what's currently happening between him, Bryan, KO and Zayn. This dynamic has been going back and forth for about six months now, and WrestleMania seems like a good time for it to climax.
