5 Potential Replacements For Daniel Bryan As WWE SmackDown GM
1. Hulk Hogan
Hulk Hogan is the wildcard of the pack, having been linked with the SmackDown general manager's role just recently following reports that he is currently in talks with WWE officials over a possible return to the company.
As of yet, though, nothing concrete has come out on this, and you would imagine - after the controversy that followed the announcement of the Fabulous Moolah Memorial Battle Royal earlier this year - that the company is going to tread very carefully.
If you set aside all of that (which is easier said than done), you can kind of see the appeal of Hogan as a GM. He's brings massive name recognition, he can play face or heel and he's a fresh pick that we've never seen in an on-screen authority role in WWE.
There is a danger, however, that putting him in this position will ultimately see SmackDown become less about the roster and more about the guy manning the desk. Again, the blue brand has been dominated by its power struggle over recent months, and someone less likely to hog the limelight might be a welcome break.
