5 Reasons Baron Corbin Is No Worthy WWE Champion Upgrade To Jinder Mahal

2. Audiences Aren't Convinced He's Better

Audiences react whenever Jinder Mahal's music blares over the sound system. Part of that is a lingering sense of disbelief that he was made champion in the first place, and yet some of the reaction must be attributed to respect. Hardcore fans know how hard Jinder has worked, and even casual viewers can see that he's passionate about being champion.

There may be an argument to say Baron Corbin wouldn't be a worse WWE Champion than Jinder Mahal, but he definitely wouldn't be a notable upgrade. WWE must think of their plans for the coming months after SummerSlam. Who would Corbin feud with as champ? Would losing the title at this point destroy Jinder's character?

It's way too soon for Baron to hold the WWE Title. Though Mahal may have been pushed into the spot suddenly himself, he will (slowly but surely) become a bigger deal the longer he wears the title. If nothing else, WWE must see their project through.
