5 Reasons Brock Lesnar Should Stay In WWE (And 5 Reasons Why He Will Leave)
2. He Wants To Avenge His Last Fight In UFC
"Tonight was the last time you'll see me in the Octagon." That quote was from Lesnar's last fight in UFC that took place on December 30, 2011 in Las Vegas. His opponent was Alistair Overeem in the main event of the show. Lesnar's previous fight was in October 2010. He missed over a year of action due to the diverticulitis illness that made him really sick. He was apparently in good enough shape to fight so that's what he did. It was the wrong move on his part. The fight was not a great moment in Lesnar's career. He never seemed to get out of the starting block as Overeem was the more aggressive fighter of the two. Overeem weakened Lesnar with some knees to the body of Lesnar. In the third minute, Overeem hit Lesnar with a huge knee that rocked Lesnar. When Overeem kicked Lesnar in the body, Lesnar fell down in a hurry and then Overeem finished him off with a barrage of punches. It was over in only 2:26 of the first round. Overeem won by TKO. You think Lesnar is happy about it? Oh hell no. That loss probably bothers him all the time and there has to be a part of him that wants to avenge the loss by going back to UFC to have one more fight. UFC President Dana White has said he always got along with Brock and if he wants to talk then he will. They might have talked already. We don't know. When they do, White is going to sell Lesnar on the idea of having at least one more fight so he can prove he's not a loser like he was in his last fight. Lesnar is a prideful man that is truly an alpha male. He's in great shape again and there's a very good chance that he wants to end his competitive fighting career on a much better note than the embarrassing loss he suffered in 2011.
