5 Reasons Cody Rhodes Will Succeed In WWE (And 5 Reasons He Won't)
2. Will - Undeniable
As Cory Graves repeatedly conveyed while Cody Rhodes strode to the ring on WrestleMania Saturday, the former Stardust has gone from undesirable to undeniable. And while this is a soundbite WWE will no doubt beat into the ground, it’s pretty difficult to argue against it.
The rehabilitation job Rhodes has done on his persona is remarkable. We’ve covered how much better he’s become in the ring and on the mic, but the stuff beyond all that may prove to be more important still.
While he’s not quite a household name, Rhodes has elevated his profile exponentially, working with Snoop Dogg on TV talent shows and headlining his own reality series. He’s slick, presentable, and reliable - you could send him anywhere to conduct an interview or appearance with total confidence he’ll represent the company well.
That’s not the most exciting of accolades, but it’s worked for The Miz, and Rhodes’ superstar qualities exceed Mike’s by some distance. He has made himself a star; he now just needs to be utilised as such.
