5 Reasons Dean Ambrose Is The Next Stone Cold Steve Austin

1. He's The Most Persecuted Guy On The Roster

One of the biggest reasons fans were so behind Stone Cold Steve Austin during the Attitude Era was the fact that he was constantly being persecuted and marginalized by Vince McMahon, who just happened to be his boss. Vince didn€™t want Austin to succeed in any way shape or form and frequently stuck his nose in Austin€™s business in order to hold Austin down and keep him away from the Championship. At a time where a lot of people felt like they were getting a raw deal in their real lives, and like they weren€™t getting real opportunities to make something of themselves, Austin represented the ability to fight back against persecution and unfair circumstances. Dean Ambrose is a lot like Stone Cold Steve Austin, especially when it comes to being on the receiving end of authoritative abuse of power. Is there a more persecuted man on the WWE roster (with Daniel Bryan absent, Hell No)? The Authority puts so much effort into making sure he fails, it€™s impossible not to get behind the guy. They constantly stack the deck against him, always run interference in his matches, and basically attempted to murder him by curb-stomping him through cinderblocks on the Raw after Summerslam. Compare that to the kid gloves Roman Reigns gets to deal with in his battle against The Authority, and it€™s hard not to believe that The Authority sees Ambrose as a bigger threat to their regime. Ambrose fighting back against the powers that be while they try to snuff him out, is a very large part of why he€™s the closest thing we have to Stone Cold since the Rattlesnake himself. Like Austin, Ambrose doesn€™t take being victimized and oppressed lying down, and strikes back as hard, if not harder. That€™s one of the reasons why his eventual return from shooting the WWE film Lockdown, will elicit a massive pop. Ambrose will not die, and he€™ll always fight back, just like Austin.
