5 Reasons Kurt Angle Could Jump To MMA (And 5 Reasons It Won't Happen)
1. He Has Legit Wrestling Credentials To Build From
This one is, frankly, obvious. Kurt Angle is as legit as they come when it comes to amateur wrestling, one of the more dominant base disciplines in mixed martial arts. Having won the gold medal in wrestling at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, Angle eventually jumped to pro wrestling - but that doesn't mean he has forgotten his roots. Even if he hasn't been training at a top level, there's no doubt that for a guy as skilled as Angle, his wrestling abilities would come back, just like riding a bicycle. That would give him something to build off of, which is a good thing, because lets face it - the window for success for him in mixed martial arts would be very, very short. This is probably the biggest factor in any attempt to make it in the cage for Angle - if he feels he still has it, than he has a shot.
