5 Reasons Kurt Angle Could Jump To MMA (And 5 Reasons It Won't Happen)
2. It's A Lifelong Dream For Angle, Which Means He Will Be Motivated
One thing Kurt Angle has not been shy about has been telling anyone and everyone how he regrets not being able to get involved with MMA earlier on. When he came out of the Olympics and looked at career options, MMA existed but it really wasn't paying. The original UFC guys weren't exactly rolling in cash, and it wasn't really until the mid-2000s that the sport finally started turning a profit. Angle made the smart move financially back then, but he still has to wonder how he would have done in his prime. And he has tried to make the jump before, coming very close to signing with the UFC back in 2010. The idea was to have Angle join the cast of The Ultimate Fighter during the heavyweight season, but sadly, he couldn't clear the physical. So he's motivated, it's true. Very motivated, especially while on a wrestling sabbatical, with TNA constantly on the brink of falling apart, and WWE seemingly uninterested in his services.
