5 Reasons Kurt Angle Could Jump To MMA (And 5 Reasons It Won't Happen)

4. He's Too Competitive To Take The Easy Route

Kurt Angle has never been one to take the easy route. He's a competitive guy, which is why he's still active as a wrestler all these years after parting ways with the WWE. That's why he stepped into the ring against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania - after learning a month earlier that he had a broken freakin' neck. That one is actually true. It's damn true. So make no mistake, Kurt Angle is going to want to compete against cans in Bellator, which may pose a problem. For starters, Bellator doesn't exactly have the best heavyweights in the world - those are over in the UFC. What Bellator does have is a handful of legit guys, like nowhere-to-be-found champion Vitaly Minakov, Cheick Kongo, and Bobby Lashley, none of whom Angle would be wise to go up against in his first fight. After that, he has limited options, and would possibly be playing the "seniors circuit" - which he may not want to do.
