5 Reasons Shinsuke Nakamura Will Never Win The WWE Title

3. Vince Is Looking To Castrate Him At The First Opportunity

Seth Rollins is dangerous. While 'The Architect' isn't half as bad as the likes of Bret Hart make him out to be, his track record of injuring those he's in a WWE ring with is there for all to see.

During his time in NXT, you just know that Nakamura will have been tarred with the same brush during his feud with Austin Aries and you just know, with the impressions we're getting from the higher ups in WWE, Vince McMahon won't have been revelling in it as such but will have paid it more attention than he would lesser lights.

During an NXT house show in Fresno, Aries took a kick to the face from Nakamura that left him almost blind. With Nakamura's style between the ropes garnering a following worldwide, an injury like this under his watch is the single worst thing that could have happened before his main roster promotion.

Why? Vince McMahon will take 100 versions of The Miz over one Daniel Bryan. While Bryan made more money over a period of time, Miz is Mr. Dependable. He's never injured and can be relied on whenever called. If there's someone on the roster who is wiping out Vince McMahon's stock of 'Mizs' with their in-ring style, you know they will be told to change and work a safer WWE style.

Personally, I believe some of the things you see that fall under the umbrella of 'Strong Style' are absolutely nonsensical. Professional wrestling, at its very essence, is two performers pretending to be in combat with one another but making fans suspend their disbelief into thinking they are really fighting.

Nakamura's 'Strong Style' is the opposite of that. Not to the lengths where you'd suggest he'd be better off in an octagon than a professional wrestling ring, but we've know for many years now that he packs more of a punch than most. With this knowledge, you have to wonder why WWE signed him in the first place if they're going to take away a large chunk of what makes him so special.

While WWE can never deny the showmanship and charisma of the man, they've certainly reigned him in since his promotion to the main roster with that injury to Aries being a fine excuse. This, in turn, has almost normalised Nakamura, making his matches a shadow of his NXT offerings. He's been castrated early on, which doesn't signal great things to come.

Who knows, the more experienced he gets perhaps the more flamboyant and more his true self Nakamura will be able to become. Until that point, it looks like this very different and special performer will be just another wrestler on WWE's stacked roster.
