5 Reasons Shinsuke Nakamura Will Never Win The WWE Title

4. He's Just Another Superstar Already

We should have seen the signs from the get-go really. Shinsuke Nakamura made his in-ring debut against Dolph Ziggler at Backlash in a match that was arguably the most underwhelming in some time.

If you want to know how NOT to introduce a new star, watch this match. Ziggler, bless him, has been lost in no man's land for so, so long now. Turning 'The Showoff' heel has not had the desired effect. A move that was supposed to galvanise a stale character with little purpose has further proved to us all that we simply don't care about him in 2017.

Nakmaura, however, is the polar opposite of Ziggler. Those hardcore fans that have followed him for many years couldn't wait to see what his main roster run would bring, while those of a casual persuasion were presumably brimmed with intrigue, wondering what this exotic, mysterious new character - who was the only star on the show's poster, remember - was all about.

The match that transpired saw the lost, meaningless character beat down the supposed new superstar before the newcomer fought back and won. The match that should have seen Nakamura make some impact immediately saw him join the rest of the pack.

Nakamura should have absolutely flattened Ziggler, showing off the 'Strong Style' that formed the basis of his reputation in the first place, but he seemed oddly restrained.

Since then, things haven't improved much at all. He's been booked like the rest of the boys and while that moment with AJ Styles at the Money in the Bank showed all faith hasn't been lost, there's certainly a long way to go for Shinsuke to reach the levels we all know he should be at.
