5 Reasons Why WWE SummerSlam 2018's Main Event Will Fail

1. There's No Stipulation

It was fine for 'Mania 31's first-ever meeting between Lesnar and Reigns to be a straight-up one-on-one match, and the same could be argued for 'Mania 34's repeat, but the aforementioned Greatest Royal Rumble ramped up the intensity of their feud.

After that Steel Cage war and Reigns' bitter tirades against the champion, it's a bit tame of WWE to revert back to a match with any rules, let alone rope breaks, count outs and disqualifications.

Don't forget that Lesnar has repeatedly attacked Roman, and the challenger belted seven shades out of his rival in Saudi Arabia with a vicious steel chair onslaught. Their match should be a more violent one then, not another samey romp through booking fans have already seen on two WrestleMania cards in 2015 and earlier this year.

Without a stipulation to justify any mayhem, Reigns and Lesnar are seriously hampered. Fingers crossed one is announced before the pay-per-view happens. WWE still have a few weeks, after all, and they must know a third headliner between these men needs more to make it seem worthwhile.
